argggg my legs are really hurtin me

You're definitely allowed to moan - this must be awful. I haven't suffered this, but are you getting any help eg special stockings, or massage? You surely shouldn;t be suffering this without help. xxx Penny

I have it too in my left leg, and I know all too well the pain it can cause. Do you see a lymphoedema nurse? I've found that wearing my compression stocking helps a great deal, reduces the pain and stops me limping.. god bless lycra! If I've been disorganised and both stockings are in the wash at the same time, I wear the DVT stockings from the hospital, they're nowhere near as good but do provide some relief. I'm also having physio to try and repair some of the damage caused by surgery which could have the added benefit of restoring some lypmhatic function.

Hope your feeling a little better today, it's bad enough having cancer without the doubly whammy of lymphoedema, eh?

I don't have lymphoedema - but I did have a DVT a couple of years ago which damaged my veins, so my leg swells quite badly and is very painful. Like Marsha I use compression stockings and these are great - I have also raised the foot of my bed, and sleeping with my legs raised is really helpful in reducing the swelling overnight.
I do hope you find a solution soon.

Had lymphodemia for the past year and a half in right leg, very sore to start which was mainly due to the severing of nerve ending during surgery, but improved.
personally could not get on with the stocking`s, persevered but to no avail. now it blows up and down but generally painless. gentle exercise helps, walking the dog etc, feel sorry for my left leg really, which takes some of the load.
Have difficulty in finding jean leg widths which will go over my leg, but wore a kilt last week which was liberating in many ways.fustrating on top of everything else,,,but good to moan. trust me it settles down,
and no it does not make you walk endlessly in circles.LOL
But seriously I know it`s annoying but your body is very good at adapting,but the stockings can help..I was just being a man about it.
If there is anything else or you just want to moan just ask.

Thnak you for all getting back to me.. I went to see my doctor the other day. and se was really good. She has made me an appointment to a lymphedema clinic.. i know that is not spelt right but i cant be botherd checking ha... so i should be going in the next week or so... I feel much better about it all today, my legs at the top are still a bit swollen and there still soar..

But im getting married on Saturday then i am going on holiday so i will stop complaining.
