I have carboplatin and taxol chemo and Ifind that during the treatment and for about three days after I wee like mad but dont know Im doing it....I am hoping that its the kidneys getting rid of the drugs too fast...anybody get the same thing
Hello. Carboplatin was one of the drugs I had and I had the same thing. I think it's just all of the fluid you have before, during and after working it's way out!!
Hiya Taygus,
I'm on this combination too and was wondering about the urinating thing! From the Thur - Tues after treatment on the previous Monday I wee like mad and even have to get up twice in the night to wee, and I never have to do that usually! Also my bladder control goes up the chute fpr a few days, which always makes me worry but I guess if it's not just me then it;s the Taxol, thank heavens!
I'm on the same drugs - find I have to go every 30 minutes during the treatment and then gradually the intervals lengthen until I'm back to normal about 4 days later! Apart from the drugs, don't forget they're pumping an awful lot of fluid into you too - and you'll be drinking more than usual to try to flush the chemo through. Best of luck with the rest of your treatment. Love, Kate xxx
