Incapacity Benefit

I've been on IB for 13 months without query or question as, for much of this time, I've been having chemotherapy. I've just had the IB50 form sent to me. At the moment I'm unsure as to whether there will be further treatment, so I guess they're looking to place in back into work.
I just wanted to know whether many of you have experience of the IB route. My consultant said that I should be able to do some work, albeit part-time. However, I want to give my body chance to recover from this battle. I also have limitations from the side-effects of what was fairly aggressive treatment. So, any general pointers would be welcomed!

Ring up the macmillan helpline Poet - they can give you the number of a benefits adiviser - she/he can then assess your situation and let you know all your entitlements. Macmillan produce a very good booklet which you can order online - has useful tel numbers too. Cancerbackup helpline may be able to tel you the numbers but I think they are on the MAcmillan support website. If I wasnt so tired I would find my booklet to tell you the title. Sorry!
