New drug for advanced breast cancer lauched....

Hope everybody you're allright.
I read at the metro newspaper the followings article :
"New Cancer Drug Launched
A DRUG which teh husband of cancer campain Jane Tomlinson said should be made widely available has been launched in Britain. Lapatinib combats advanced breast cancer. Mrs Tomlinson's husband Mike said last October she has found it 'Distressing' that she could not get easy access to Lapatinib before her death in September. Pamela Goldberg, chief executive of Breast Cancer Campain, said last night's announcement means about 2,000 women a year in Britain may benefit. 'It is encouraging@, she said."
Some news for people who suffer this dreadfull illness, but the don't say if this drug is free or not????

this drug is aparently suitable for women with advanced breast cancer who are Her2 positive - currently around 1 in 5 women are her2 positive so for the majority of breast cancer sufferes this drug will not be available to us. Interesting news though Orion - and kind of you to make the post for us too! Jools x x x
