Run For Life Nottingham
Hi can I through this forum say a huge thank you to all the runners who took part in the Nottingham Run for Life last week. I had someone who was running for me and she raised £200.-- for cancer research. I wish I could hug you all, what you have done for us who are touched by Cancer either as patients, family or friends is wonderful.........Thank You All Emma xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

One of my friends ran in this, and I sponsorred her with funds from the stall of vintage clothes I did with my friend Sophie. My friend has got a lot of health problems herself but is a very determined lady. She rang me just as she crossed the finishing line and said "I've raised X for you!" Everyone who participates in these is not only raising funds and awareness, but morale-boosting for those of us suffering from this wretched thing. xxxx Penny

Hi Penny,
You are so right about those wonderful people who ran being moral-boosters for us all who are battling away here. I was so proud of my friend for doing this for me and for all of us really.
Hope you are getting along OK. I start my Radiotherapy this week, have to go this wednesday for set-up and scan, I suppose they will do the markings then also. Really don't know what to expect as of course I live here in France and my French is severly limited ( learning very quickly though) I am just getting info off the net and of course from here. I have had some good advice from Carol and am grateful to her, thanks Carol.
Love and Hugs . xxxxxxxxxxx Emma. Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass............ It's about learning to dance in the rain.
