t cell lymphoma
My husband was diagnosed with " peripheral t cell lymphoma" on 4/18/08. His oncologist says that it's rarer than most lymphomas and that makes us worry more so than the origional terror of just being told you have ANY kind of cancer. Has anyone else out there dealt with or are currently undergoing treatment for this?? I would love to hear from you!
thanks,
Michele

Hello there
I am sorry but it's not T cell, but a B cell variant I have - Hairy cell leukaemia. Whilst I cannot offer you any support on this what I can tell you is that a rarer cancer is not always a more problematic one - nor one any less treatable. My cancer I am told is rare too. But a chemo treatment existed and in being rare I was somewhat of a interest to many physicians - so lots of people were involved across the country.
I just wanted you to know - rare can be a positive thing too.
Hope you husband is doing well and best wishes to you both.

Hi Wendy!
It's nice to hear from you. This is something we don't want to go through alone. I hope your treatment is going well for you. We had an appt. w/ my husband's oncologist today, and we're told that he'll be receiving "hyper cvad" regimens as his treatment. ( a 5 day stay in the hospital to begin it.) There's so much info to go through that I've become an "internet junkie!" They say knowledge is power, but no matter how much we read, I'm not sure if anything is going to help him (us) prepare for the next couple of months. One day at a time, I guess. Continued luck to you!!!
