Hot chilli sauce

Serves 6-8 people.Ready in 40 minutes. You can cover and chill leftover sauce for up to 5 days.

Ingredients

6 fresh habanero (or normal) chillies, chopped and deseeded
1 large onion, chopped
400 grams of chopped tomatoes (1 tin)
1 tbsp salt
125 ml white wine vinegar
seasoning

Instructions

1. Stir all the ingredients together in a small pan over a medium-high heat.
2. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until thick.
3. Cool slightly, then pureee using a hand-held blender until smooth.
