Testicular cancer

What are next things to look for?

Stephen doesn’t register pain like most people do. I believe this is because he is a Downs Syndrome. Although a lot of people might not agree with me. He is also not able to speak at all well and has to use sign language to communicate with me. Because of these two reasons I can not find out if he is in pain. He will say nothing until he is VERY BAD.

Once Stephen went to sleep I went back to my husband who was waiting for me on the ward. Because Stephen couldn’t have any food or drink, neither did I, and I was feeling very hungry. We went to the canteen had something to eat and more important, cups of tea. After about one hour I was phoned and told that he was out of the theatre, and I could go down and wait for him to come round.

Now we are on the last day of 2008, and what a year. It started off with us both working like mad and just catching up when possible, to looking forward to a fortnights hols which were brilliant. Then a lump found but surely nothing to worry about, and then fear.

Another, "I whant to know?" My son Stephen seems to have a slight problem in turning his head, ither way. I was told by my older son, who had the same cancer, that this would be the next thing for me to look for. He lives in Cornwall, so I do not want to worry him, it cost an arm and a leg to drive home and if he knew, he would.
