Well That's the fourth chemo over with. I did wonder whether \i would be able to have it today because the cough is still here and although it sounds pretty dreadful it really isn't no infection etc. So when the doctor asked me what I wanted to do I said go ahead with it. The chemo nurse had to search for a vein , nothing new there then.

We went with dad to chemo clinic today, the Doctor has suggested dad stop the chemo, dad has agreed. I am not totally sure of the reasons why, resistance was mentioned and thats fine if I was 100% that was the reason. Last week we went and Dad had been having issues with his memory and some pains down in the groin area.

Hi Everyone

I was diagnosed with colon cancer 5 weeks ago. As a fit, 39 year old mum with no family history of this disease, the news came as quite a shock to me which I am still not over.

Well it has been a day and a half. I set off at 9.20 this morning to get to the hospital for the reults of my CT scanand my third chemo ( time does seem to be going quite quickly) and finally arrived home at 7.50. The hold up was caused by my prescription being lost not once but twice in the pharmacy department. I began to think I would be locked in for the night.

My neighbour has made me a crazy huge fleece hat crafted lovingly in blue with red spots, replete with crown-type prongs. Naturally I do not wear it around town as it runs counter to my - hem hem - highly sophisticated image (says the bald stick-wielding crone), but it's fabulously warm in our sub-zero temperatures and perfect for close-quarters living.

My second chemo was last Tuesday and things seem to have gone OK. Still haven't got my hospital appointment times sorted out in my head, for example appointment time 1.30 really means 12.30 for bloods but they don't tell you that on your appointment card.
