chemo

Who would ever have thought that discovering you had hairy legs again 8 weeks after end of chemo could give you so much joy!

Hi all!

Hey friends,
Well following on from last weeks blog about the Saint, it wasn't long before it all kicked off *rolls eyes*

Hi has anyone else had these side effects from CMF. I have had 2 doses and am due to go back next week for my next cycle. Apart from feeling rough for 5 days afterwards I have felt really good until a couple of days go when I started to feel light headed, and loose my balance occasionally. On top I am getting a wee bit forgetful-my family tease me that it is my age!

WELL !!!
i have just got back from having my bloods done and seeing the Oncologist and
been told i am booked for a ct scan on the 21st December at leeds and if all okay then
THIS CHEMO THIS WEEK COULD BE MY LAST 1 but if any thing shows up then i have to finish the block so will end the 14th jan there abouts BUT !!!! also i dont have to have RADIOTHERAPHY !!!!!!

tomorrow it will be 3 weeks since my radical hysterectomy . physically i'm doing brilliant a few aches and pains but not half as bad as i thought it would be its really hard not being able to do the hoovering though!

Well I am off to hospital tomorrow for my second cycle of chemotherapy and thought this would be as good a time as any to reflect on what has been happening. The first cycle seems to have goon reasonably well. I can’t say I have had any real problems apart from a sore throat and of course the hair loss.

Hi all
Just thought i'd start writing a blog thought it might help me and maybe some others get through some touigh times.

My husband is currently having chemo for secondary liver cancer. We have been told its terminal, how on earth do people cope with that diagnosis its like sitting on a time bomb waiting to go off. I am constantly looking at him to see if any changes are happening, what do we do, live life day by day or take a risk and really go for it with what time we have left.

Day 1
Well, I had my first chemo 'outing' yesterday. I went to Clatterbridge Hospital on Wirral and was impressed with the friendly staff and their thoroughness and professionalism.
