diagnosis

It's a weird feeling - I was diagnosed in April, but it's only today it's hit me that my life now falls into two neat parts - "Before cancer" and "After cancer".

Having finally got around to following a proper diet,I've managed to lose two stone so far (two more to go), my clothes fit and energy levels up. However one of my boobs has got smaller as you would expect, but one has got bigger and seems heavy (like a solid implant). So off I trot to the docs.

So here is the begining...Having searched through the cancerbackup site there didn't seem to be any synovial sarcoma links. I was diagnosed on friday and as this is the start of my journey, for my own sanity and possibly helping others I thought I would make a little blog of things in my head and the treament that I receive.

It must of been over a year ago, that we first noticed a small lump on my left temple. It did not hurt or itch and we thought that it must be just one of those fatty lumps, that come and go, or that my new glasses were causing an abrasion. However, the lump did not go away and grew from 5mm in diameter to about 10mm and it started to itch.
In June 2007, I visted my GP who told me that it is probably nothing, as it was not on the surface of the skin, so we would keep an eye on it and see what it was doing on my next visit to the diabetic clinic in 6 months.
