I was what some people call a Super Woman before the dreaded Cancer came calling. No job was too big or too much of an effort. I loved my life, worked over 50 miles away as an accountant and I commuted daily by car. Went to a high impact aerobics class three times a week, taught arts and crafts most weekends as we as looked after my husband and two grown up sons.
Many of you, I'm sure, know about the new vaccine that is being given to young girls to help prevent the human papilloma virus (HPV). This virus is a major cause of cervical cancer, and is also linked to other cancers including some head and neck cancers, anal cancer and penile cancer.
the phone rang at 7pm, I've been waiting all day for the hospital to phone me, to tell if my op was going ahead tomorrow and, IT IS. NO cancer in my lymph glands, I'm so happy and want to thank all my chat room friends for their sincere support. You have been a tower of strength to me. my first blog and what a shock I've had. I'm booked in 21s Oct for radical hysterectomy Hospital phoned to tell me they want me in on this thursday as they have changed the plan. They want to take my lymph nodes out to check for cancer because if its there its pointless doing the radical. If its not I will go back in as planned for the big op.
You may have heard in the media this week that the cervical cancer immunisation scheme is starting across the UK. The vaccine will be available for girls between 12 -13 years initially and there will also be a 'catch up' campaign for those up to the age of 18.
hi i was hoping might be able to help or have some previous experience of this . i was feeling quite poorly late last night shivery and and a temp of 100f/38c i left it because i was going for a check at the hospital today. as luck would have it i told the about the temp and stuff and they took my temp it was a very cool 37 . as soon as i got home started feeling crappy and put myself to bed .
I feel like i realy need to write about this. mainly i think in the hope that it may help someone who is going through the same thing i have been.
